Selling drugs in the form of chocolate, two arrested
A case of drug-laced chocolate being sold in Mangalore has come to light. Mangaluru city police conducted an operation and seized 100 kg of drug-laced chocolate.
100 kg of drug-laced chocolates labeled as Bang Chocolate were seized from a shop owned by Manohar Shet at Car Street and a shop run by Uttar Pradesh-based Bechan Sonkar at Falneer.
Bechan Sonner (45) from Uttar Pradesh and Manohar Shet (49) from Mangalore have been arrested by Mangalore Dakshina police.
The accused, Bechan Sonner, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was selling drugs in his shop in chocolates worth Rs 5,500 worth ``Mahashakti Munakka'', 'Bum Bum Munakka Vati', 'Power Munakka Vati' and 'Ananda Churna'.
The North Police Station police raided near Car Street and seized the chocolates worth about 48,000 in three plastic sacks along with the accused Manohar Shet who was selling bong mixed chocolates and sent the chocolates to the lab.
